Temporary fix for "We encountered an error while trying to communicate with server!":

1) Run command prompt or powershell as admin
2) Copy-paste the following commands:

reg add "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\.NETFramework\v4.0.30319" /v "SchUseStrongCrypto" /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f
reg add "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SecurityProviders\SCHANNEL\Protocols\TLS 1.2\Client" /v "DisabledByDefault" /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f

Now you should be able to do a wCD scan without getting this error.

Steam not found:

Steam now has a 64-bit client and because the wCD is 32-bit, it can't access its settings. PS: SteamID for Steam users will not be available for some players until the wCD executable is updated with the fix.
